Little Forest was welcomed home by his big sister June.  His parents are thrilled and I loved watching them all together.  This newborn session was extra special for me since Forest is my nephew.  My sister and I were pregnant at the same time (and we thought it was funny when we came downstairs wearing the same outfit in the morning) and had babies six days apart.  She is an understanding, encouraging and honest mama and I am so grateful for her.

As you can imagine, their newborn session was postponed a few weeks!  Here is Forest and the family at four weeks old.  Prats family, I love you all, you beautiful people, you!

Enjoy those little toes, Prats family!

Samuel George - isn't it regal sounding?  I think this baby is going places.  If his family has anything to do with it, I'm sure he will.  I so enjoyed meeting the Nutts a few weeks ago.  He swaddles, she shushes: the perfect parenting team, don't you think?  :)

We talked pacifiers (amazing inventions, especially when they don't fall out), outings with a baby (pretty sure they've had as many in two weeks as we have in six), and how our dogs are adjusting (I'll say Gus is winning).  Quite the life change, and so worth documenting.

Nutts, I'm sure he's even bigger now than he was two weeks ago!  Thanks for letting me celebrate baby Samuel with you.

Above: This chair belonged to Dave's Grandfather and now lives on after receiving some updates from Dave and Sara.  I love the sentiment, the chair's new look and the tangible legacy it leaves.

And below: a proud father.  :)

Beautiful Mama.

A handmade, personalized blanket from his grandmother.  So special.

Good work S & D - he's beautiful.  Here's to your new little life!

Every time I post about a newborn session it feels like an unveiling.  I didn't know the Ramsey family until last weekend and am honored to help them introduce their new baby girl to the world.  I was told Greer is an easy baby.  (Hence the title; maybe an overstatement, but I went with the association!)  Becca sleeps better now than she did when she was pregnant.  That sounds amazing to me.  I sleep well enough now that I can't complain, but I hope our little one sleeps half that well!

sisters.  :)

Did it strike you too how gorgeous this mama is?  She is radiant.  Even more, she was sweet and calm to everyone in her family.  I'm taking notes.

Will and Bennett sang "Skidamarink" while Greer took a meal break.  Later, while Greer settled into a deeper sleep with Becca in front of the window, Bennett squealed as they ran around in the basement.

Little ruffles + father + snow.  love.

Congratulations, Ramsey family.  Enjoy your beautiful little bundle!

What a photogenic family!  I met up with these three on a beautiful day for some family portraits.  We stayed busy with giant leaves and overhead planes - and took a few photos too:)

Great to meet you, Lugos!  I look forward to more!
