JHP Wedding Albums

Weddings, Real Lifejacqueline horningComment

I wanted to show off these beautiful albums and offer a visual for what I offer as WEDDING Albums compared to other albums.  They are really lovely and the best way to re-live your wedding day.  Pages are printed as a spread (the two pages you see when the book is open) so there is no gap between two pages.  Each page is mounted on stiff boards to create extra thick pages and bound in a traditional flush mount style.

Aren't they beautiful?  They are a great combination of simplicity and polish.  There are seven fabric options for the cover that you can view in person at a consultations.

Do you have an album?  Are you pleased with it?  I look at mine more than I would have thought.  There's something about a book in hand and the way we looked that day - dreamy, happy, full of anticipation and emotion.  I see that look he gives me in the rare moments when he's sentimental and teary as he's waiting at the alter and - ah! - I'm right back to that wonderful day in September.  xo

What I'm Giving this Valentine's Day

A friend was recently talking about a chapter in a book called The Meaning of Marriage that inspired my not-so-original idea for a Valentine's Day gift.  Perhaps an odd place for inspiration, but I'm hoping it will be well received.  The idea?  Words.

The book briefly describes catching a vision of our spouse in perfected form - the fullest, truest version of themselves.  Cool concept, isn't it?  (The book's explanation is much better.)  All that to say: I've been thinking about this and wanted to encourage my man this Valentine's Day with what I see in him.

Things like, for example, the way he strives for excellence in everything he creates.  Or the way he calmly and fearlessly solves problems.  And that I'm thankful that he is lighthearted and playful (No wonder he gets the best giggles from our little girl!).

What better gift than to tell the one(s) we love how lovely they are to us?  Happy Valentine's Day to you and the ones you love!  Who are...

...becoming kinder and stronger as the years go on.

...amazing, even though they are only a few days old.

...determined, strong, sleep-deprived, and radiant.

...your favorite partner in the midst of life's (awesome) craziness.

...more beautiful now than ever.

...incredible, just because they are here and yours.

Have a wonderful weekend with the ones you love!

April+Trevor's Classy Handmade Wedding

In honor of their anniversary, I wanted to share April and Trevor's wedding day with you.  (Remember their engagement session?)  It was a beautiful October day - a warm (even hot!) afternoon and cool night.  Hand-written signposts and a vintage teal pick up truck welcomed guests to the old estate in the afternoon and s'mores and a fire pit sent them home happy.

Congratulations a+t.  May your marriage be forever sweet!

A Red, White and Blue Wedding

It's been a bit of a rough week (I was sick, then the baby got sick, now P is sick...grr) but working on THIS lovely day was a bright spot.  Have I ever had so much trouble narrowing down images?  I loved so many of them that a few more than usual may have slipped into this post.  :)

I left my house that July 4th morning under a rain coat, umbrella, and all kinds of rain gear to brave the hurricane that was blowing through, but Brandon and Melissa managed to get married under beautiful blue skies.  I like these two.  They both were ready first then fastened dresses and tied ties for others.  She kicked off the sparkly heels and went barefoot with a "sure, let's go" for a photo.  And he - he loves her well.  Ah weddings.  Enjoy!

Those sweet smiles, lush greenery, a little sun...it was beautiful.

M+B, it was a great party!  Thanks for sharing your day with me.
